Dream Acts: The Abbey Court Community Art Project
One of the most amazing experiences of my life, Dream Acts was a collaboration with artists Neill Prewitt & Lincoln Hancock and the residents of Abbey Court in Carrboro. It is comprised of residents’ art, co-created work, and our own curation.
An environmental assemblage of video, photography and objects, “Dream Acts” sought to share the creative energy of Abbey Court, while exploring the boundaries real and imagined that shape our perception of and interaction with an environment or community. Thanks to the Chapel Hill Cultural & Public Arts Office
for funding the project |
Lincoln, Hikerhay & Kewla watch the video they made (it's very funny!).
We also organized and moderated a panel discussion where nine
community leaders shared methods and inspiration for community building.
